Topskills Creatieve Workshops Amsterdam & Amstelveen — Video Game Design

I enrolled my 12-year-old son in the Video Game Design workshop at Topskills Creatieve Workshops in Amsterdam, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Lisa, was genuinely enthusiastic and engaged with the kids while teaching them about game mechanics and design. My son came home excited about the 2D game he created, and he even made a friend in the small group setting, which was a bonus. One minor annoyance was the long lines during pickup; we often waited a bit longer than expected. However, the knowledge he gained and his creative expression outweighed this small inconvenience. If your child is interested in video games and enjoys creative projects, I would definitely recommend this workshop with some patience for the pickup process.

The pickup process was smooth, but there were a few parents struggling to find their kids amidst the excitement, so it might help to have better organization there. Overall, I would recommend this program for kids interested in game design, just with a little caution on screen time.
