Playhood — Science

My daughter attended the Playhood — Science program in Amsterdam and overall, we had a positive experience. She’s 9 and loves hands-on projects, which is what attracted us to this program. Each week, she built something new; last week it was a small volcano that erupted with baking soda and vinegar. The instructors, especially Anna, were very engaging and made sure each child was participating, which my daughter appreciated. However, the drop-off process could be a bit chaotic. On the first day, I felt a bit rushed to leave since it was crowded, and some parents seemed unsure where to go. Despite this, my daughter made a few new friends and looks forward to the upcoming weeks. I would recommend this program for active and creative kids, but just keep an eye on the drop-off situation.

I recently enrolled my 9-year-old in Playhood — Science in Amsterdam. Overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Lisa, was particularly engaging, guiding the kids through the scientific process while fostering their creativity. The small group size allowed for more individual attention, which I appreciated. However, I did notice there were some long lines during pickup, which made the end of the day a bit chaotic. It would be nice if they improved the flow to make it smoother. Despite that, my child came home excited about science and eager to share what they learned. I'd recommend this program for kids who enjoy hands-on activities and exploring new concepts.
