Playhood — Coding

My 12-year-old attended Playhood in Amsterdam for their weekly coding program, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Lisa, was engaging and really knew how to make coding fun. My child loved creating their own simple game and was excited to show it off at home. The small group size meant that each child got plenty of attention, which was great. However, I did notice that there was a lot of screen time involved, and my child sometimes felt overwhelmed by it. Pickup was smooth, which I appreciated, as it can sometimes be chaotic. If you have a focused child who enjoys technology and problem-solving, I think this program is worth trying out. Just keep an eye on the screen time.

The pickup process was smooth, with clear communication from staff, which I appreciated. While I believe the price is on the higher side, the creativity and skills my son is developing make it worth it. I would recommend this program with the note to monitor the screen time for younger kids.
